George says: Her tale was haunting and l loved that. But I feel sad for the gargoyle.

George says: Slinky and sultry fun.
George says: The tale was intriguing and a little dark. Curious about where it would go next.
“I see nothing,” she said, steeling her heart. Her chin rose a degree higher, as did the beast’s.
The priestess’ gaze slid from her, to the mirror. “He is you and you are him. A shared soul divided between two bodies. He is your affinity for flame and flight and power made true. Is your attraction so hard for you to believe?”
“I see nothing beyond the raving of a heathen cult,” she whisper-hissed. She felt the temper flare beneath her skin, kindling the fire that roared in her blood and bones. She refused to give into the true nature of the Lavharian bloodline. “If you wish to poison minds, you should find yourself another assassin.”
With a hand upon Shadowrend’s pommel, she turned to take her leave, her steps silent among the shadows of the temple.
“There is only so far you can run in this world,” the priestess called after her. “And it is not far enough.”
As the scent of incense faded behind her, Rollauron could have sworn she heard a roar among the storm outside.
