Kaylee says: I like how you've perfectly captured a typical night with kids. Enjoying those moments while they last!

Kaylee says: I enjoyed the attempt to withstand temptations. We all know that's difficult!

Kaylee says: I loved the surprise twist at the end. At the beginning, you can tell something is brewing but couldn't guess what it was until the end. Way to keep your readers thinking!
Cole stared in horror at the rounded belly Malain cradled with a more satisfied smile than he ever remembered seeing while they were making it. It was absurd, but his panicked brain was screaming that whatever was in there could come out at any minute.
“You’re the one who said not to get used to it,” he swallowed. “It was just a couple nights of fun, this wasn’t supposed to happen.”
“Actually, it was.”
Under her shock pink hair, Malain’s amber eyes swept over Cole’s apartment appraisingly. She didn’t bother looking at him at all. How the hell did she even find him?
“What do you want from me, Malain?”
“You’re going to look after our daughter.”
Cole shook his head. “You know I can’t. I’ve got my own life, and I’m no good at the serious stuff. Just the fun parts.”
Malain didn’t answer, instead she twisted her nails like claws in Cole’s direction. He felt a burning in his stomach, and fell toward the floor. By the time he landed it was on four paws, not hands and knees. Attempts to speak only produced frightened meows.
The sorceress lifted Cole from the carpet by the scruff of his neck.
“That’s much better. Now, if you ever want to be human again, you’ll have to ingratiate yourself with our daughter as she comes into her powers.”
