Angela says: I love the story. Her fear comes through along with her acceptance and the ending was another surprise that was as much of a jolt as her java!!

Angela says: Her story is full of stress and love all at the same time and beautifully intertwined.

Angela says: I was sucked in from the beginning and the ending totally blew my mind. Superb nervous anticipation and the surprise ending was awesome.
I can’t see him, wondering if he is close. The pounding of my own heart makes so much noise in my head that I wouldn’t be able to hear his quiet breathing. In the darkness I try to picture the layout of the alcove, but not knowing the virtual geography, it’s purely guesswork. I want to move, to shoot, to act but know I must stay very still and….wait.
Waiting causes a variety of complications; inattention to details, anxiety, even complacency. I could ill afford any of these conditions under the circumstances, but nor can I acknowledge my complaining muscles, cramped into the crouched position. I continue to wait, noting my heart rate slowing. Stay alert.
With a furious eruption he bursts out of the darkness, racing past me, firing blindly. Instinctively, I pull the trigger on my carefully aimed pistol. He dies.
With a ping, my computer announces the arrival of an e-mail. Game over.
Congratulations Winner Barbe, Lizzie, and Katheryn! Don't forget to claim your badges and display them with pride. You certainly earned it!
