Hennessee says: Silver's tale held a lot of mystery. With the club and everything going on, I wanted to know why Sergei couldn't let go of one woman. The set up indicates he is love, but it doesn't say so. Why is this one woman so special?

Hennessee says: I really enjoyed Bill Engleson's style and the way he set up the scene. A lot is going on with minimal words and left me guessing why the picture was familiar. Of course I had to wonder why a person would invite a stranger to dinner as well.
There is only so much pasta a normal man can eat. Most times, we are never really tested. This time, I had met my match. While Momma Petunia’s puttanesca had been served on a large platter that almost commanded me to dive into the chunky linguini links, smothered in anchovy dream sauce, all splashing around like an unhinged guppy, Holly Wiecek’s Polish take on the classic puttanesca dish transported me to the golden fields beyond Warsaw.
Warsaw, Indiana, that is; the orthopedic capital of the World. No doubt about it, my dogs were tired.
After dinner, Holly guided me back to her couch. Sniffles maintained a fastidiously feline vigil.
While Holly did a bit of cleanup, I just smiled and sunk deeply into the softness. Captured in this comfortable moment of shackled sloth, the chains would hold until real life smacked me in the kisser.
Her living room was compact and cozy. A small desk opposite held an assortment of framed photos. I left Sniffles’ tolerant company to take a peak. One held a picture of Holly and a very familiar woman.
“Family friend?” I asked.
“My aunt, Olga,” Holly said as she came in from the kitchen.
“Hmm.” I hummed as noncommittally as possible.
“So, Oli, I didn’t think this would be so awkward?”
“What,” I asked, “inviting a complete stranger back to your home for dinner?”
“Well, when you put it that way…”
She paused, and then said, “Let me tell you a story about dear Olga.”
Congratulations Five Time Winner Bill, and Silver! Don't forget to claim your badges and display them with pride. You certainly earned it!
