Welcome back to Weird, Wild, & Wicked Tales for Snippet Sunday. It's 2019! Wow, I can't believe it's here and I have books coming. Lots of cool books. Like a whole new series filled with snark, humor, and paranormal bikers.

In this snippet, we're in Oriana Hunter's POV (all in first person) and her flighty friend, Melinda, has convinced her to accompany her to the Concrete Angels MC compound over Oriana's protests. Now things get serious. The snippet is unedited.

~~~~~~~
Melinda pulled up in front of the clubhouse and shot me a look bereft of smile.
“Now listen up. I brought you here because you’re a wiz with numbers and the Concrete Angels have some money troubles. I told them I have a friend who could help.”
“Thanks for the heads-up. When were you gonna ask me if I wanted to help?”
She raised her chin, not at all repentant. “They need your skills and I gave them my word. No one ever goes back on their word and lives to tell about it.”
“Fan-fucking-tastic, Mel. But it wasn’t your word to give.” I scowled. “You didn’t ask, you kidnapped me and made me think I was helping you. You lied and manipulated me into coming up here. What if I say no?”
She shot me a flat look. “You can’t say no to the Concrete Angels.”
“Oh, yes I can. You didn’t ask if I wanted to help them, you just took me here. And I said I didn’t want to come.” I matched her stare for stare. “I also said they wouldn’t let me leave. But you did it anyway. This is your mess, so get me out of it.” I crossed my arms over my chest.
Melinda scowled, but she looked away and swallowed hard. “Oriana, you have to listen to me. They need your abilities and they don’t take no for an answer.” She met my gaze and I read real fear in her eyes. “I didn’t have a choice in asking you to do this. I had to ask and I had to bring you. If I didn’t, there would’ve been consequences I couldn’t pay.”
Things just got a whole lot more serious. ;) There are several great authors on the Weekend Writer Warriors list, the Snippet Sunday Facebook group, and the Rainbow Snippets Facebook group. A few of my favorites are, P.T. Wyant, Karen Michelle Nutt, Veronica Scott, Jessica Subject, Kathy Griffith Karysa Faire, and Iris Blobel.
Here's the blurb for MY FOREVER COCK BIKER ENCOUNTER:
Oriana Hunter
I don’t trust many people, bikers included. Most especially, the bikers from the Concrete Angels Motorcycle Club. But when I’m abducted by my “best friend” to come work for them as a forensic accountant, I don’t have a lot of choice. Hey, at least I got them to sign a contract, and it comes with dental. All I have to do is find out who’s embezzling from them and I can go home. I have far too many demons to be around anyone for very long. It would go a lot faster if I didn’t have a handsome cocky biker hanging around and being nice to me. The question is which folks are worse, those wearing the Concrete Angels’ cuts or the FBI jackets?
Scott Free
Oriana Hunter is the sexiest woman I’ve ever seen walk through the gates of the Concrete Angels’ compound, and she’s badass, through and through. But she doesn’t trust anyone, me especially, and I can recognize the signs of someone dealing with PTSD from my time in the Army. Turns out, she’s a former FBI agent who left the bureau after she was raped, and doesn’t trust bikers or men. Not that I blame her. I wouldn’t trust us either. But I know she’ll figure out our money leak, and quickly. She’s too smart not to. Which means I don’t have a lot of time to prove I’m not what she thinks and convince her to stay.
Coming January 2019!
Big trouble! Melinda was forced to bring her. I really don't like the sound of that.
I wonder what else Melinda isn't telling her.
This does NOT sound good. Melinda isn't really a friend, is she?
Word of Advice
If you want to be a writer, don't think about writing or talk about writing; WRITE. And never give up on the stories.
