Let's recap, shall we? Back on May 28 I did some giveaways and apparently the sickness has kicked my butt in terms of picking winners. So sorry. But hey, here's the link to video, but I figured I should announce the winners: Sara Anne won the porcelain Travel mug for What Dreams May Come (her favorite movie) and Byrne Manis won the military chevrons necklace with her choice of THE NAVY'S GHOST to be next in paper. Congratulations, ladies! Thanks for being so patient.
Muirlette #1 got into the Cheyenne Youth Symphony and she's a musician! LOL I know that sounds funny, but this kid can play music by ear. She hears the piece a few times and she can play it on her violin without music in front of her. I'm so very excited for her.
We also have a baby bunny who's come to stay in our yard (and the neighbor's yard as well) and we've named her Jessica Hopps (Judy Hopps' younger sister - Judy is the heroine in Zootopia). Hopefully she'll give me courage to do the second secret project, a project way outside my comfort zone. Mr. SM gave me an incentive to buy four beautiful man pictures from Paul Henry Serres Photography. Great bribe. ;) Don't forget about the ongoing giveaway to win a ticket to A Weekend With the Authors in Nashville, TN in July!
I also talked about the derision toward romance which I encountered in the library this weekend. I don't tolerate the disdain and I spoke up about how yes, I do read romance all the time as well as write it. And it became clear that the ladies hadn't read the kind of romance that I write - lots of story and sex as the spice. There are many genres of romance, and there are always readers for them. But I don't put up with disdain about romance in general.
On the Sunday Morning Tea, I decided to do an impromptu giveaway for paper copies of HER DEVOTED VAMPIRE because I have too many copies lying around. Congratulations to Ruthie Bronkema and Mira Wuerges! Y'all won my impromptu giveaway. :)
That's it for me this time. Thank goodness, right? I'll hopefully catch you next weekend and show off the flowers we planted as well as talk to you about books. And keep your eyes open for the July reveals! Happy reading. :)
