Part of our reasoning to do this is I belong to a virtual writing colony known as OpenSim, where we try to bring fiction to virtual life. Nara Malone, Shannan Albright, and I have always wanted to merge the two worlds, virtual users and real world readers. We also want to bring more attention to the Indie authors we love to read. With so many books out there now it's hard to figure out what is a good, well-written book...or not. Keep in mind, these are our opinions, things we like to read. The Nookettes of the Virtual writing colony of Nara's Nook have come up with this blog hop to share our favorites.
Today's offering is NIGHT MOVES by Silver James. Here's the blurb:
Everybody knows you don’t mess with a big, bad Wolf. Well, everyone except Lainey Walker…
Hooray for Hollywood…
Eric “Hollywood” Hilton is no hero, he’s a Nightrider first, last, and always. There isn’t anything he won’t do for the club. With his looks, women are a dime a dozen until he walks into Chasin’ Tail, the strip club owned by the MC, and sees the “new girl.” She trips his moonstruck wolf straight into that crazy thing called love.
Run don’t walk…
Lainey’s goal is to pay off her family’s debts and return to college. Without much choice in jobs, she takes a spot dancing at Chasin’ Tail. Fortunately, it brings in the big bucks to make the deadline. The last thing she expects is to wind up in the middle of a biker showdown, much less get accused of being on the wrong side.
When it looks like Lainey has betrayed the Nightriders, Hollywood must choose his brothers and his mate. She won’t tell him everything, but his wolf can’t let her go. Can he find the truth of her innocence in time to save her?
Warning: Lots of down and dirty sex, extreme violence of the blood and guts kind, alpha MC members, and a moonstruck Wolf with stars in his eyes. This is the dark side of the Moonstruck world where sex is rough, death is brutal, and laws don’t mean jack.
What I love about Silver's writing is her ability to make the story come alive to those of us who are civilian in lifestyle. Her Wolves are some of my favorite characters because most of them are wild and badass...until they meet that special woman and then they can't help but learn to be tender and protective. This, however, is my favorite book, so far, of her Nightriders series. Hollywood has this wonderful way of being easy and laid back without losing any of his alpha bad-assery. And his connection to his woman is really a beautiful thing. Great story and worth the read.
