Part of our reasoning to do this is to bring more attention to the Indie authors we love to read. With so many books out there now it's hard to figure out what is a good, well-written book...or not. Keep in mind, these are our opinions, things we like to read. The Nookettes of the Virtual writing colony of Nara's Nook have come up with this blog hop to share our favorites.
Today's offering is KARMA FOR HIRE by Amelia Mayhem Here's the blurb:
Karma’s hands are full, dealing with bitching angels, grumbling demons and humans who can’t seem to just love one another. Karma is overwhelmed and longs for her own happily ever after.
For three thousand years Thadeus, the sinfully sexy incubus demon has set his sights on Karma, but she doesn’t believe a demon is capable of love. Will Thadeus finally be able to prove her wrong?
When a wannabe demon hoping to take over as the Ruler of Hell, an archangel with his sights set on the loftiest of thrones, the upcoming Sin Convention, all hell breaks loose, literally, Karma must decide whether to stand up and fight for everything she has ever known, or let it go. Can Thadeus and Karma stand up and fight for the love they both so richly deserve?
This was a lighthearted, humorous read with heart. Karma is overworked and underpaid, especially when she has to deal with annoyingly perfect angels and whining demons. But they're all needed to make this thing work. The best part is you feel for Karma, and you wish folks would just be nice to each other, but demons are demons and angels are angels, and never the twain shall meet, except at the big oversight conference. I particularly liked Thadeus's attempts to entice Karma, and his eventual understanding of who she really is. I laughed out loud at some of the antics. Great and funny tale.
