Part of our reasoning to do this is to bring more attention to the Indie authors we love to read. With so many books out there now it's hard to figure out what is a good, well-written book...or not. Keep in mind, these are our opinions, things we like to read.
Today's offering is BEARLY WORKING by Julia Talbot. Here's the blurb:
How can a deaf bear find his mate?
Deaf werebear Sasha loves his data entry job at The Grizzly List. When he receives Trent’s ad to place, he knows he’s going to answer it instead, even if it might cost him his job.
Sasha’s lack of hearing doesn’t bother Trent—his mother was deaf, too. There’s only one problem: it’s a long-distance relationship. It’s an issue he’s willing to overcome, because once he sees his little bear on Skype, Trent knows they’re meant to be together.
I beta read this one and found Ms. Talbot's voice to be fun and smart. Her storytelling is fun, sexy, and sweet rolled into one. And by sweet, I mean the emotional connection between her two heroes, not about the sex. It was a hot and sexy male/male tale and I highly recommend it, even if m/m romance isn't your thing. I think what I liked most about it was the recognition of emotions, love, and caring between the characters regardless of their gender or "disabilities". Great story.
