Part of our reasoning to do this is to bring more attention to the Indie authors we love to read. With so many books out there now it's hard to figure out what is a good, well-written book...or not. Keep in mind, these are our opinions, things we like to read.
Today's offering is ADAM'S OBSESSION by Sabrina York. Here's the blurb:
Hopelessly shy and utterly repressed, Katherine Hart indulges in her risqué sexual fantasies online. Her virtual lover, Savage, is willing to meet her every need, especially once he discovers her naughty little secret—that, more than anything, she craves a masterful man. Fortunately, Savage is just that. And then some.
When Adam Trillo (aka Savage) discovers that the incredibly erotic woman he’s been tangling with online is actually his adorably demure co-worker, he is determined to seduce her IRL—in real life. He longs to release the wild Kat he knows lurks just below the surface. Using a beguiling mix of domination and persuasive charm, he draws her, relentlessly into his web until she is helpless to deny their mutual passion. Most especially when she’s tied to the bed…
I actually started this series by reading the third book, so I decided I'd pick up the first two to see if I enjoyed them as well. Oh yeah, Sabrina York doesn't disappoint. Adam was burned by his ex-wife, but he had his own growing up to do. Katherine is afraid to step off the mark and go for what she wants. What makes this enjoyable is the usual tropes aren't employed to cause havoc. Or rather, they're there, but Adam and Kat don't fall for them the whole way. They make choices to overcome them and it's beautifully done. I appreciate Kat's strength and Adam's growth. This is a BDSM tale and it's hot, but so worth the read.
