George says: Damn, this was brutal. The story stood out as a brutal reminder that not all dealings with the mob are smooth and easy.
Cara Michaels | @caramichaels
George says: The story was about human nature. Here's a woman trying to get away, and she stops to help someone, compassion in the most difficult places.
Ruth Long | @Bullishink
George says: I like the woman character because she was the one in charge. And she didn't take any of his excuses.

George says: That damn llama. It was funny and humorous. I really liked it. The llama really got me.
Colonel Gibson surveyed the chaos behind the two young officers standing before him.
“We picked up the supplies you sent us for, sir.”
Before he could reply a large brown animal bounded away from the area.
“Was that a kangaroo?”
“Yes, sir. Probably, sir. It’s quite possible, sir.”
“How did a kangaroo get into our compound?”
“The time machine malfunctioned, sir.”
“The time… You two took the time machine on a supply run? Why?”
“The only truck big enough was getting an engine overhaul and you told us we had to get back before chow so that was the only option available, sir.”
He took a deep breath. “We’ll discuss this later. For now, please get the llama away from the coffee.”
“It’s not a llama, sir, it’s an alpaca.”
“And those are munitions, not coffee. The machine… nothing is what it says it is.”
“That’s why we don’t have everything squared away yet, sir. We’re still trying to find out what’s what.”
Gibson took a deep breath. “Just… get it sorted. And try not to blow anything up.”
He turned away, still wondering what the hell happened and what had possessed him to agree to lead this project. He should have just taken his retirement, but it was too late now.
Or was it?
He turned and gave the time machine an appraising look.
Just then a stray dog that the squad had been feeding looked up at him and mooed.
Definitely too late.
