Rose says: love the drama in this one between the aunt and the niece the tension is real in this one. I would like to see more.

Rose says: I connected with this story on a deeper level than most working in the healthcare field. Again, if this were in a book form (as with Tina's), I would be likely to buy it to read the full story. That being said, I love background info and how things connect to each other but would have wished for a bit more info. Probably my fault if she builds on this weekly. Guess I will find out next week (hopefully)!

Rose says: For facing the elephant in the room...or rather country as it was. Makes me giggle because i keep reading that to myself in a little boy voice as if he were like 5.

Rose says: I chose her Thursday thread because of the suspense and background info. It gave enough background information with enough suspense to the snippet to keep me looking for more. I'd be interested to see if she build on this further next week. I keep coming back to it. In fact, if she is currently writing this story, I would be likely to buy to read the whole thing. The way she weaved this while blending in JUST enough background info with current scene was interesting.
“Son? Nah, she was too high to know the difference, but he never made it. We just told her that we gave him up for adoption. She didn’t know any difference.”
Lazarus recognized the lie for what it was. The best lies are built on tidbits of truth. He’d keep looking, but his first priority had to be Charlie. “Is that why you killed her?”
“No, Charlie isn’t dead. She’s just trying to cause some problems and make me take the fall for everything. She poisoned me.”
“No poison was found in your system.” His word choice came out automatically before he could dial it back to stay in character. Even to his own ears, he sounded too much like a cop doing an interrogation.
Jesse stared at Shane. “It’s true? You’re a cop?” Jesse ran his hand over his face. “And here I thought to tell you all I know. If Blackwell and ’em know I’m talking to you, then it’s over for me. Snitches don’t live long in this group. You’ll find that out.”
“I can guarantee you protection if you’re willing to testify against them, be a confidential informant, and continue in this life.”
“You don’t get it. As soon as I walk out of this hospital, I’m already dead.”
“You really don't care? I’m going to only ask you one more time. Where can I find Charlie’s son?”
Congratulations Three Time Winner Tina, Anne, Kel, and Bill! Don't forget to claim your badges and display them with pride. You certainly earned it!
