Angela says: Her story was wonderful and the pain of stalking her lover was evident. I waffled over it for a long time before I chose the winner.
Angela says: I love the twist of how the murder and display of a transgender person is no big deal until one person refuses to allow it to be so. Powerful and moving, it was an excellent piece and I would love to see it expanded. I want to know what happens next.

Angela says: Garbage Day was a wonderful snapshot of a regular chore in every home, only clearly this is not your typical garbage. I loved it and I loved the image of Leonard stomping his feet with his arms crossed in front of him.
“Nothing has been done yet.”
I assumed my new power pose and then added, “If I have my way, nothing will be done.”
There, I’d said it. Put that lump of sweetness in your coffee and stir it madly, my love, I thought.
I could have folded my arms across my chest and stamped one or both feet but I’ve learned a wee bit of subtlety along the way.
With my eyes as piercing as possible, I looked to see if my words had any effect.
She started to laugh. “You buffoon. You’re like two ninety pound weaklings stuffed into a giant sock. I do all the work and then you huff and puff because I ask you to help just a little."
I’d drawn a line in the sand and she’d kicked it in my face.
“Evelyn, it’s not a little thing…”
“Oh, Leonard…let’s see…who finds them…goes out and rounds them up?”
That was an easy question to answer. Evelyn doesn’t always ask easy ones.
“That’s right. Me. You get to stay home, watch a little TV, clean the knives, sharpen the axe, play with Snuggles…while I must go to the most raucous places and find them. I have even cleaned up…”
Well, she had me. She DID do all the work. All she wanted from me was a bit of heavy lifting after the fact.
“Okay,” I said, heaving the body bag over my shoulder, “I’ll take the garbage out.”
Congratulations FOURTEEN TIME WINNER Bill, Cate, and Mark! Don't forget to claim your badges and display them with pride. You certainly earned it!
